Had a fantastic meal here, we made a booking but we got a bit hungry so popped in to see if we could eat a bit earlier and the staff seated us straight away at the bar, we had a fantastic view of the chefs cooking meals. We both had delicious meals and a cocktail & draft Brixton larger. The portions were very generous and everything we ate was fantastic, thank you very much!

I had such a great late lunch/early dinner at La Nonna today. Tried the pasta fritta (served with a delicious arrabbiata mayo dip), Focaccia Al Rosmarino and Ricotta, aglio selvatico e nocciole (Creamy whipped ricotta, wild garlicpesto, hazelnuts) Absolutely delicious antipasti! This was followed by the Agnolotti burrata e tartufo (Burrata and truffle filled pasta with jerusalem artichoke) which was also supremely tasty. Service was so friendly and helpful. Cute decor. Great value. I will be back!

One of the best (if not, THE best) Italian place around Highly recommend the Insalatina Tomato, and the pea pasta (don’t remember the name but it was fantastic!!) Mattia’s recommendations and service was fantastic - love this place so much!

Beautiful pasta! Great service and reasonably priced. We had the focaccia and the whipped ricotta to start which was delicious. They gave us some free fried pasta chips because the bread wasn't quite baked yet. I had the cacio e pepe main and it was delicious, super creamy. When the bill came they had given us the focaccia for free because of the wait, which wasnt necessary but very generous nonetheless! Great place will definitely be back.

I recently visited La Nonna with my best friend before a gig at the Academy. I was already expecting good things based on the reviews, but the reality exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively, the staff were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the food, and when the dishes arrived we were frankly blown away by the quality. the flavours and the freshness of ingredients were incredible, and afterwards we felt light and hugely satisfied. I will be taking my wife to La Nonna in a few weeks' time, and I can't wait to see her reaction. Wonderful

In our humble opinion the best Italian food outside Italy. The food is so fresh, so beautifully presented and so delicious. Service is top notch, efficient, friendly and swift. We travel from Brighton just to eat here. Looking forward to our next return.

Hands down one of the best Italian / Pasta restaurants in South London I've been too. It's in the Brixton market, which is such a cracking hot spot. We sat in the high seats right where the chefs cook, it was lovely and you can see the fresh ingredients and how they cook and make their drinks, it's a nice touch when they pass the drinks and food over the cooking counter l, feel part of it. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good, busy and to me always a good sign. Highly recommended to visit. Solid A***** LDT x

A truly delicious and pleasurable experience at la nonna the other night. The staff were friendly and attentive and new manager Mattia is a jewel in the crown of this Brixton eatery. Every dish was full of flavour. And when I couldn’t decide on a main pasta I was offered a hybrid of a couple of add on ingredients to the arrabiata that made it the perfect combo for me. The tiramisu was so outstanding that even my husband loved it and he has never had a tiramisu he liked! La nonna has a simple and smaller menu but clearly focus on doing those things well. I hear a new spring menu is about to come out. I shall 100% be returning to enjoy the new flavour combinations and menu options they dream up.
